(More customer reviews)Looks great and a very sanitary alternative to a shower door!But unlike other shower rods that extend and maintain their tension as you twist them, these rods only extend in length by pulling them out to their desired length.The big problem, or shall I say NIGHTMARE, is once pulled it is almost impossible to shorten their length.On the other hand, the rods do not also firmly maintain their tension; so that without the end hardware being screwed to the wall (which is an option), in about a week or two, the whole assembly eventually sags downward, as the tension of the rods gradually weakens from the weight of the shower curtain and anything that hangs on the extra rod.

In short, the length-adjustment mechanism of the rods is so poorly designed.

My unit came with plastic transitions; so, I did not experience any snagging problem as the other reviewer mentioned.

This product should not be advertised as a "no hardware needed to install."Without the end hardware being screwed to the wall, the whole shower curtain assembly can easily crash to the floor.P.S.Installation tip: The accompanying instruction says that two people are needed to install the unit.This is not really necessary.Without any extra hand, all one has to do is temporarily fix the end hardware to the wall with duct tape.Then the rods can be extended towards the end hardware without the need of holding anything else.
