(More customer reviews)As other reviewers have noted, the wooden bar does not go all the way through.It is about 2 inches long, causing the paper towel roll to fall off sometimes, especially as the roll gets smaller.There is no reason not to make it longer, I don't understand why a designer would just go out of their way to make this product obviously flawed.
It is, however, a very nice looking holder, when it isn't falling apart.It matches perfectly with my oak cabinets and I do generally like it. I have not found a better one - for some reason no one makes roll holders anymore where the stick goes all the way through (a conspiracy by the paper towel makers I tell you!).
